Graduated from the sculpture department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2000, Evrim Kavcar (b.1976) received her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute (2003) on a Fulbright scholarship, and PhD from MSU (2011). She was the recipient of an Istanbul – Berlin stipendium at nGbk Berlin for six months in 2018. Her artistic research called Records of Breath has inspired an extensive multidisciplinary research that is a collaboration between professionals from computer engineering (A.I), sound studies, psychiatry and digital humanities. Since 2018 Kavcar has been working as a duo with Elif Öner.
